Spiritwear orders due Friday - December 2nd We hope that your child enjoyed their complimentary t-shirt from the Fullerton School PTA, reminder that final orders are due this Friday. Oh My Pita Family Dinner Night -  December 6th Tuesday December 6th Fullerton School PTA will be hosting “Family Dinner Night Out” at OH MY PITA in Addison on Fullerton Ave. Stop by and mention Fullerton School! Portion of the proceeds will go towards Fullerton School Events PTA Meeting - Wednesday December 7th Please join us to go over our upcoming events, Family Ornament Night and Grandparents Holiday Concert in the Library right after School. Child care will be available. Family Ornament Night - December 15th Join us Thursday December 15th in the school gym from the hours of 5pm-7pm for Holiday fun and festivities. Fullerton Students can pick an ornament to make with their family members 1 complimentary per student. Enjoy our different holiday stations. Purchase hot chocolate for 50 cents, cookie decorating table $1, additional snacks and ornaments can be purchased also. Tickets will be sold at the door. Skyzone Elmhurst Ticket Sales End - December 21st Skyzone is the way to go for Holiday gift ideas for your kids, family or something to do during the holidays. Skyzone passes can be purchased by filling out the order form available at the office. Passes are $14 each good for 60 minutes of jump time, no blackout dates or expiration on passes.  ($18 value) coupons for Skyzone were also sent home with the order forms that can be used with the passes. Grandparents Holiday Concert - Donations Due Dec 16th The PTA will be hosting it’s annual Holiday concert for Grandparents on December 21st. We will be sending home donation requests. Due to the large amount of response we are requesting gift cards or a monetary donation towards the event to purchase prizes, beverages and bakery items. We are not accepting food items this year due to lack of storage and allergy issues. Don’t forget to SAVE YOUR used INK and Toner Cartridges. Our CLass contest is going on until the end of May. The class that collects the most INK or Toner will win a end of the year CLASS PARTY and an extra 30 minute recess!!! Good luck!

Fullerton School PTA was able to provide each one of our students and Staff PTA members a NEW Spirit-wear t-shirt all because of your continuous support and efforts with our past fundraisers Thank you ! “Buddy Bench” Fullerton School PTA donated a “BUDDY BENCH” to our students during the “Bear down to Bullies” assembly last month. This bench will be decorated by our art teacher including the input of our students words of kindness, and inspiration. This bench will be located in our schools Friendship garden. Parte de las ganancias se darán para eventos escolares. Fundraising With A Purpose

This year the PTA is planning on fundraising for Fullerton School in ways that can improve our children's ability to participate and feel as though they are also contributing. "Fundraising with A Cause" is our new method of bringing in money that will not only help our school get the funds we need to continue to hold amazing event's like Grandparents Day, School Dance and 5th Grade Awards, but it will also help teach our children the importance of being involved in a community project,event or cause.

In the past your child's folders may have been filled with constant items to sell to family,friends and co workers it's a lot to do in a small amount of time but we also feel that there are ways that we can all contribute to Fullerton School with things that we use in our everyday lives.Granted we will still have a few things here and there that we sell like our "TAFFY APPLE" sale and "KIDS COUPON BOOKS" but those are two organizations that always are requested by the parents.

With the Help of some great research we have found a few programs that will help us raise money for our school and give back to the community.

All Year Around Recycling Program

Recycle PTA Program | FundingFactory.com  - Ms Kelly Wagner will be conducting a year round recycling program for ink,phones, etc info will be coming soon and we will set up recycling stations. Items will be mailed out monthly. This is a great way to teach kids how to help the environment and make some money back

Box Tops - Bring in your Box Tops

This program will run all year as well. Last year we raise almost 2.000.oo just by our students and staff bringing in Box Tops from from items that you purchase daily!

Box Tops Class Contest

Going on NOW - Top of the Class Party entry ends 10/21 - We will set up a little chart that has the weekly top classes and put them in our display case so the kids can see who’s winning. There is NO COST to you.- Simply ask your supporters to clean their closets and donate gently-used or new shoes in support of your program. With nothing to buy, and nothing to sell, it's a great way to raise funds! (Yay!)

1. Athletic ANGEL BOXES (Adult Athletic Shoe Drive):

Simply collect gently-used or new teen/adult sized athletic shoes (ie. running shoes, basketball shoes, tennis shoes, soccer cleats, and cross-trainers) during a 1- 3 month campaign period. We issue the shipping labels and pay for shipping when you arrange to send 10 boxes or more. Pair shoes by tying laces or with a rubber band. Pack the shoes in approved boxes to mail to our facility where the shoes are weighed.

Angel Bins will pay your organization $1.50 per pound.

Example: 1,500 pounds of athletic sneakers @ $1.50 per pound= $2,250.

2. Children's ANGEL BOXES (Children's Shoe Drive):

Simply collect gently-used or new children's shoes of many types over a 1-3 month campaign period. We issue the shipping labels and pay for shipping when you arrange to send 10 boxes or more, (aprox. 500 pounds). Pair shoes by tying laces or with a rubber band. Pack the shoes in approved boxes to mail to our facility where the shoes are weighed.

Introducing a few more to our PTA Board

This year at Fullerton PTA we are looking for ways to expand and grow our PTA Board in hopes that we can open up many more opportunities for families to join our amazing organization. 

Two new positions that we have added to our Board are "Fundraising Coordinator" and "Bi lingual Liaison" these positions play a key role in our every day routine when running a PTA and assuring that we continue to provide our students,family and staff with an amazing year!



Fundraising Coordinator 

Mrs Kelly Wagner - Mom of 3 students that all currently attend Fullerton School. 

Description. The Fundraising Chair will work with Fullerton volunteers, parents, students, staff, the  community and will oversee all of the fundraising activities for the Fullerton PTA. Duties would include, among others:

• Attend monthly board meetings.
• Build and deploy a Business Sponsorship and Procurement Team.
• Work with Fullerton Administration to plan key fundraising dates.
• Assign duties to important volunteer positions (coordinators).
• Oversee training for all volunteer coordinators.
• Drive the fundraising timeline.
• Interface with local businesses regarding services (printers, supplies, sponsorships, etc).
• Review all fundraising public communications.
• Respond in a timely manner to staff and volunteer coordinator communications.
• Provide periodic reports to the PTA Board regarding fundraising status.
• Develop strategies to improve the Fullerton PTA’s fundraising abilities.

Bi lingual Liaison  

America Trejo - Mom of 3 - 2 Students currently attend Fullerton and 1 Student at Indian Trail Jr High. 

Description This committee chairperson serves as liaison with Spanish-speaking population at Fullerton School and promotes inclusion of our diverse communities at school events. Provides translation support as needed. 

• Translate PTA Documents
• Translate if needed during Monthly Meeting
• Stay connected with the Spanish Speaking parents to assure that communication line is always open between PTA and it's Members
• Bi Lingual Interpreter during School events
• Report back to the PTA with any questions,concerns or ideas from our parents

Top Of The Class - Box Tops Contest

How do we win?

Starting NOW until Friday October 21st the class that collects the most box tops will win a 60 minute jump pass from  SKYZONE  in Elmhurst each student in winning class will receive the pass and be pictured in the 2016-17 yearbook!

Yearbooks for 2016-2017 Year

This past school year there was such a high demand for yearbooks unfortunately we ran out  and there was not enough time to pace an order for another batch to print. This upcoming year the  Fullerton PTA will be taking yearbook orders at the start of the school year. Pre Orders will be $18. This will ensure that we will be able to order more books throughout the year.

The $18 pre order rate will only be available for a limited time and after the orders have been submitted the rate will increase to $25 per yearbook. Final date October 28th

This past year we focused on Student recognition and spotlighting our Fullerton Lions and Staff for going above and beyond. We also recognized more of our clubs and organizations that took place throughout the year. Making this a record breaking year in yearbook sales!

This upcoming year we will gave some fun contests and events that will take place in addition to our previous years.

Box Tops 4 Education

When you think of fundraising you never think that you can make money for your school by just purchasing every day household items and food you and your family like. CLICK HERE for participating products list.

With the help of our Fullerton Families and Staff our School has raised $9,765.64 in total just in Box Tops alone. For the 2015-2016 School year we raised over $1,200.oo !!! That's amazing! Fullerton PTA also awarded a $50.oo Visa Card to the most contributed box tops as a thank you for all of the hard work and effort.

Fullerton PTA will be sending each child home with a BOX TOP sheet and a sandwich bag so that you are your family can start fundraising for Fullerton over the Summer. This is a great way to earn money for your school and also get some cool prizes for helping out!

Meet Your 2016-2017 - PTA Board Members

Joanne DeAngelo - President 

Joanne - District 4 parent since 2004, my son will be attending the 3rd grade in the fall at Fullerton School, and I have another son that is in  7th grade at Indian Trail Jr High. Full-time Business owner, Soccer Parent and Team Manager for Addison United Soccer Club.

 I really think that being involved in your children's lives makes a huge impact on them and their future. 

Since becoming an active member of the Fullerton PTA I have been able to participate in many event's and activities that benefit our student's and their families. The ability to meet with Fullerton Staff and staying aware of whats going on in our community and School has definitely opened up my eyes to a world that I never knew existed.

 A lot of dedication and hard work goes on from Staff,Families and Student's on a regular basis and being involved in the PTA allows you to view things from a different perspective and appreciate what goes on from the people who Volunteer their time.

Silvia DeBeau - Vice President 

 Silvia  - I am happy to be part of the Fullerton PTA. I have 3 children, my oldest who is starting 6th grade at Indian Trail this year. I also have 2 children here at Fullerton in 2nd and 4th grade. 

Besides volunteering my time with the PTA and being the "Box tops for education " coordinator here at Fullerton, I work full time in an accounting office. My kids are all either in Sports or Dance and they also participate in many of the clubs that our School Offers,

This keeps me very busy but I think it is important to be active in my children's' school. Believe it or not the kids enjoy seeing me at school and are happy that I am there. 

Kristina Stout - Treasurer 

Kristina  - I have 3 boys that attend Fullerton School ranging from 1st grade and the oldest in 5th grade. I have been in this district for 5 years and I will be here for sometime with the youngest one just starting the 1st grade.  I work full-time in our local Pharmacy so my schedule between school and soccer is just as hectic as the next guy.

I will admit I joined the PTA because my son plays soccer with one of the other students who's mom is also on the PTA. I felt that I paid my fee that should be good enough, but when we were in conversation there were a few topics that interested me and I thought "why not I'll go to the next meeting". I have to say that the meetings are not always about money and fundraising. They cover a lot of the topics that many parents should be made aware of that I would have not known about if I thought like everyone else and felt that I already contributed with my membership.

It's really good to see my kids and interact with their friends, and teachers. It builds a good bond with your kids and keeps them well grounded by seeing us as their examples contributing to our school.

Sarah Viray - ACPTA Rep and Secretary 

 Sarah has been working with Fullerton School PTA for the past 4 years. Her daughter Molly is a 4th grade student at Fullerton School.

 Sarah has over seen many fundraising projects and PTA events in the past she has also served as the PTA President for Fullerton School for the 2015/16 School year. Working as a nurse in the premature pediatric division is very tiresome and being at every event is difficult, but Sarah always makes time to give back to our school and our students by volunteering her time organizing events.

As the ACPTA rep for our School Sarah will be attending our monthly district meetings with ASD4 schools, superintendent and many other individuals that discuss changes, updates and many other important topics that effect our school and our children.
